ORGANOGELS: The next generation in formulation
Our organogels are considered to be a Class IIa medical device. Other benefits of organogels in wound healing include an energy source for cells, and stimulation of ATP utilisation. The breakdown metabolites of Magnate and Magnasield are natural constituents of human skin.
The organogels maintain a moist wound healing environment, as they are ideal barrier gels and are sterile. They are water free, surfactant free, preservative free giving the products a long shelf life and prevent microbial contamination. They are suitable for formulating a range of natural products and are pharmaceutically and cosmetically accepted.
They also have analgesic properties with the potential to rebalance protease levels in chronic wounds. The organogels may also have anti-microbial activity against Pseudomonas sp and modulate enzyme activity important for aiding the bodies natural healing processes.
